Explosion at Ukraine Embassy in Madrid Injures One Employee

MADRID — A letter bomb delivered to the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid exploded on Wednesday, mildly injuring an worker who was inspecting it, Ukrainian and Spanish officers mentioned.

Ukraine’s international minister, Dmytro Kuleba, ordered all Kyiv’s embassies to strengthen safety after the assault.

The embassy’s supervisor was checking an envelope acquired within the mail when it exploded in his fingers, Oleh Nikolenko, a spokesman for Ukraine’s Overseas Ministry, mentioned in a press release on Telegram.
